Another perfect day for week 2 of the 2014 Farmers’ Market is in store for us. The weather forecast is sunny with a high of 69 °, so its going to be another fabulous day in downtown Waukesha.
Last weekend the early morning was rather gloomy with misty, rain like conditions, and I have to admit that I thought the poor weather would hinder the turnout for the launch of the 2014 Farmers Market. Fortunately, the sun burned through the thick overcast skies at about 8 a.m., and it just so happens that the day couldn’t have turned out any better.
I knew by 9:00 a.m. that the Riverfront Plaza was going to be packed with eager shoppers and vendors. The wind was challenging, but sunshine and hundreds of eager people showed up to shed any memories of the extended winter.
My anticipation of a large crowd was confirmed upon my arrival, and I enjoyed some browsing and conversations with various vendors.
